Double A: NW Arkansas @ Springfield- PPD

Class A Advanced: Palm Beach 9 - Florida 8

  • Magneuris Sierra (CF): 0-4, R, BB, K, CS

  • Randy Arozarena (LF): 1-4, R, HR, 2 RBI, 3 K

  • Chris Chinea (1B): 1-4, 2 R, BB, 2 K

  • Darren Seferina (2B): 1-3, 3B, 3 R, BB

  • Edmundo Sosa (SS): 2-4, 2 R, 2B, RBI, K

  • Junior Fernandez (SP): 6.2 IP, 7 H, 6 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 3 K

Palm Beach has allowed 30 runs in the first two games of this series, but they were able to do enough on offense to pull this one out...The run support is the least the position players could do after letting the starting pitcher down in the field for the second straight night...Randy Arozarena's homer was his first stateside. He's now on a 6 game hitting streak after getting off to a tough start...Oscar Mercado's line looks to be a product of an extremely high BABIP right now, but he's also making significantly more contact than he did last season.

Class A: Quad Cities 6 - Peoria 1

  • Tommy Edman (SS): 2-3, 2B, RBI, 2 BB, K

  • Brian O'Keefe (C): 2-5

  • Danny Hudzina (3B): 1-3, BB

  • Bryce Denton (RF) 0-4, 4 K

  • Stefan Trosclair (1B): 1-2, 2B, 2 BB, SB

  • Ronnie Williams (SP): 5.2, 8 H, 5 R, 3 BB, 5 K, 2 HR

Bryce Denton hit his fist home run in full-season ball Tuesday night and followed it up with his first golden sombrero in full-season ball...It's been a disappointing start so far for Ronnie Williams, which has been a bit of a theme so far this season with the Cardinals high-ceiling pitchers. Williams, Junior Fernandez, Sandy Alcantara, and Jordan Hicks have all had middling to bad results despite stuff that projects very well.
