Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright is known for his various charitable endeavors. He, along with his brother Trey, have founded Big League Impact, an organization whose mission is to “save lives, restore dignity and instill hope in our local communities and around the globe”. The organization have already provided many wonderful things for many wonder people.

With the baseball season postponed, many minor leaguers, like many people around the world, have found themselves in a tough spot. Adam Wainwright has made an effort to try to help:

We of course have a long way to go in this global crisis, but it is in these times we can, as the wonderful Fred Rogers once said, look to the helpers; the healthcare workers, the manufacturing workers building ventilators, the delivery workers and mail carriers, those doing what they can to make things easier for others. Reading about this made me feel just a little bit better. I share it in the hope that it helps you feel better too.
