On Wednesday we asked if coronavirus: COVID-19 could impact Major League Baseball? Today we might have an answer. The rumor swirling is that players will be leaving Spring Training in the next 48 hours:
I’ve heard MLB clubs are prepping for their organizations to prepare for “work from home” mode. No word on the regular season. Spring training is ending. I believe clubs are leaving their spring sites within the next 48 hours, including players going “home”.

This is pretty bummerific news if true and obviously does not bode well for the season, but first and foremost, the safety of the players and personnel, along with the fans, needs to be protected. We will keep you updated as we learn more!
