On Monday I asked you all who you thought would win. Now as the World Series is upon us, I ask you something a little different: Are you rootin’ for the Los Angeles Dodgers or the Tampa Bay Rays?
There are compelling arguments for both. Tyler lays out quite a few in his article from Tuesday morning. There are former Cardinals on each team. Both organizations are known for being creatively, efficiently, and intelligently ran. Neither have won the World Series in a over two decades — the Rays have never won at all, but have only been a team since 1998, while the Dodgers have won since 1988. In a division with big spenders like the Yankees and Red Sox, who knows when the Rays will have another crack at the World Series? The deep-pocketed Dodgers have had a lot more chances — another loss could color what should be seen a great run for the franchise as a team that could never go all the way.
Each team is fairly likable, each makes a case for being the most deserving to win, and both teams were the best in their respective leagues. So who do you want to win?
