This year Paul DeJong will make $4 million. He is on pace to set career season highs for games played, home runs hit, and fWAR. He has been above average on defense at one of the most difficult positions on the diamond. He was the Cardinals lone representative in this year’s All Star Game. His team is currently in first place in its division. Overall, a pretty good year for Paul DeJong.
Today the Cardinals shortstop turns 26 years old. It sounds like he has done pretty well for himself. To celebrate his birthday here are some highlights from this season:
