Here is the Pittsburgh call of Paul Goldschmidt’s grand slam - A Hunt and Peck

Excellent.

Grand Slams are fun, especially in extra innings during an at-bat where you least expect it. On Monday night Paul Goldschmidt jacked a dong to the opposite field with two strikes and the bases juiced to give the Cardinals a four-run lead in the top of the tenth. If you were watching the Cardinals broadcast, it looked and sounded a little something like this:

Jubilant is a good word to describe the atmosphere in that clip, I think. Of course, the Cardinals broadcast was not the only broadcast airing Monday night. The Pirates broadcast was tasked with endeavor as well. It went a little something like this:

I do not envy broadcasters, that is for sure.
