The rosters for the 2019 Futures Game taking place on July 7 in Cleveland have been announced. Two Cardinals made the National League team: Dylan Carlson and Nolan Gorman.

The lineups for both teams are stacked. Thirty-six of the fifty players selected are currently on Baseball America’s Top 100 and thirty-seven are on MLB Pipeline’s Top 100. Gorman comes it at number 30 and Carlson at 88 on MLB’s list.

Gorman, a nineteen-year-old third baseman, was recently promoted to Palm Beach. In six games he has five hits including a home run and a triple. Gorman was also a Midwest League All Star. Carlson has spent his age-20 season in Springfield. The outfielder has a .284/.365/.491 slash line with ten home runs, six triples, and fifteen doubles. Both players have put together impressive starts to 2019. It should be fun to watch them on a bigger stage.
