Sometimes bunting is good?

MLB: Miami Marlins at St. Louis Cardinals Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports

Position players bunting is almost always bad; the key word here being “almost”. Sometimes players try to bunt for hit. Hits are good, though bunting for hit almost always means settling for a single.

Almost.

On Monday evening Matt Carpenter hit a stand-up double. That is not unusual for him. What is unusual? The ball never left the infield and had an exit velocity of 38.5 mph.
