A plea to Fox Sports Midwest to bring back the centerfield camera - A Hunt and Peck

Just 200 words of me whining, basically.

MLB: San Diego Padres at St. Louis Cardinals Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports

Look I do not mean to complain...

No, that is wrong. I do mean to complain and if I am being 100% honest, I love complaining. Mostly, I like trying to be funny and complaints seem to be an easy vehicle for jokes. Today, I am being pretty serious, though, at least by Scooter Standards.

It has come to my attention that Fox Sports Midwest is no longer using the over-center camera angle from centerfield. To be fair, I do not know what contributed to this choice. Perhaps it was not a choice at all, but necessitated by some other issue. I do not know all the details. What I do know is that for years, Fox Sports Midwest had one of the best camera angles in baseball. And now...

I am not going to mince words here. I [redacted] hate this new camera angle.

I thought I would get used to it. I thought it would just slowly mold into the fibers of my hippocampus until the over center camera would flutter out of existence like T’Challa in Infinity War*.

That was not the case, however; while the old camera angle is gone, I still remember it. I know how it used to be. I want the over-center camera back. So now begins Endgame.

Fox Sports Midwest, I will now address you directly. I do not know why you made this choice. I admit that visually it is appealing to fill the whole screen. If this were a drawing, this might be how I would lay it out. This is not a drawing, however, and this new angle is completely inferior to the centerfield angle when it comes to watching baseball, which is the point of this program you are showing. Please, please bring back the old camera. I miss it.

Perhaps this just bothers me and a few people I know. If that is the case, I will back down. As far as I can tell, there are more of us, though, and if it is the wishes of the people, well, I will fight for you, my friends.
