After an injury-plagued 2018 Adam Wainwright made good on his make-good deal providing the St. Louis Cardinals over 171 innings with a 4.19 ERA and 4.36 FIP, good for 2.2 fWAR, The partnership went well enough that the Cardinals and the righty took another step closer to being together forever*.
The St. Louis Cardinals and Adam Wainwright have agreed to remain together for another season!

The terms have not yet been announced, but will likely not be quite as team friendly as the year prior. The signing adds depth to a rotation that is likely to test it.
And also, like, it is Waino.
