Earlier in the offseason we discussed five Cardinals that were eligible for arbitration and their projected arbitration salaries (as estimated by MLB Trade Rumors). At the time the Cardinals had five arbitration eligible players: Greg Garcia, Chasen Shreve, Dominic Leone, Michael Wacha, and Marcell Ozuna. Since that time, the Cardinals released Greg Garcia, leaving four players with contracts to negotiate. The Cardinals have avoided arbitration will all four players. According to MLB Trade Rumors the Cardinals have agreed to:
$900,000 with Shreve. Shreve made his major league debut in 2014. He has accumulated enough service time to reach his second year of arbitration this offseason.
$1.26 million with Leone. Leone made his major league debut in 2014. He has accumulated enough service time to reach his second year of arbitration this offseason.
$6.35 million with Wacha. Wacha made his major league debut in 2013. He has accumulated enough service time to reach his third and final year of arbitration this offseason.
$12.25 million with Ozuna. Ozuna made his major league debut in 2013. He has accumulated enough service time to reach his third and final year of arbitration this offseason.
