MLB: St. Louis Cardinals at Philadelphia Phillies Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Yesterday Major League Baseball announced the 2017 All Star lineups. Two St. Louis Cardinals made the cut this year. Carlos Martínez will make is second All Star team (2015) having been voted in by the players for his stellar 2017 campaign. Carlos has won six games and lost seven, has a 3.15 ERA with a 3.53 FIP. He has accumulated 3.4 fWAR. Joining Carlos is battery mate Yadier Molina, who was also voted on to the team by his peers. This is Yadi’s eighth All Star selection (2009-2015, 2017). Molina has a slash line of .268/.303/.412 for an 83 wRC+ and .9 fWAR while allowing twenty-four stolen bases and catching eleven would-be base stealers for a caught-stealing rate 31.43%.

Congrats to Carlos and Yadi!
