Stephen Piscotty earned the heck outta that run - A Hunt and Peck

If people could stop hitting Piscotty with baseballs, that would be great.

If you missed the game Tuesday night, feel free to get caught up with Lance’s recap here. The Cardinals fell to the Cubs two runs to one, the lone Cardinals run having been scored by Stephen Piscotty in seemingly the most brutal way possible. If you did not see it, allow me to explain. Stephen Piscotty’s fifth inning looked like this:

Ouch.

And we were all concerned for Stephen and am extremely happy to know he is alright.

And since he is alright, we are able to laugh at this incredibly funny Scott Sterling mashup guilt-free:

Piscotty is listed as having a "head contusion", but otherwise fine. Way to take one two three for the team, old bean.

Note: I am aware the Grant Brisbee already wrote about this same thing for SBNation, but this is my shtick, dad gum it, and I refuse to let the fact that someone else already wrote it stop me from fulfilling my duties on this esteemed website as writer of  "weird Cardinals-related social media things". I linked Brisbee's article below.
