Adam Wainwright: Cool Dude - A Hunt and Peck

There have been many examples of Adam Wainwright being an all around good guy, some written on this very website. He is active in charitable endeavors, fun in the dugout, seems to be a pretty cool dad, and now we can without doubt add "is a generous teammate" to list. As reported by Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post Dispatch, when Waino noticed fellow Spring Training teammate Ryan Sherriff making a ten to fifteen minute walk from his place to the field every day, the veteran pitcher decided to help him out.

"Waino got me a rental car," Sherriff explained. "I freaked out a little bit. I started crying. I called my mom, and she started crying. Really, I’ve never had that experience. No one has ever done something so nice for me before."
