The one where Mike Piazza apologizes to Nelly - A Hunt and Peck

Nelly always has our back.

I don’t know if many of you have heard, but the newest craze sweeping the nation is an unfounded seething hatred of St. Louis. Kinda like with Nickelback, except without all the reasons. The latest person to get in on this hot new fad was former Mets catcher and Hall of Famer Mike Piazza. In an interview with the New York Times, Piazza had this to say [when asked about the possibility of an MLS team in St. Louis]:

"I'd rather be poor in Italy than based in St. Louis. You can't get a good meal there!"

Not really the worst thing, but considering the city’s relatively high Italian population and the existence of a place called The Hill, the comment stung. So we sent in our best to rectify the situation.

Remember: when you insult St. Louis, you insult Nelly, a man that represents his hometown with pride - his twitter handle is literally @Nelly_Mo.

Looks like Mike Piazza will be eating a little more than his words.

Nelly owns.
