Oakland Athletics to donate portion of Stephen Piscotty jersey sales to ALS research - A Hunt and Peck

Earlier in the week news broke that Cardinals outfielder Stephen Piscotty has been traded to the Oakland Athletics. It was revealed around the beginning of June of the 2017 season that his mother had been diagnosed with ALS. While trading a player can be tough, the clear benefit of this deal is that Piscotty will be playing closer to home - about forty minutes from where his mother lives, reports have stated. The trade was a touching gesture from both sides - of course, their were baseball reasons too that made it possible, but bringing Piscotty closer to his family appears to be a major factor. Now the A’s have decided to take it a step further:
