Nationals beat Cubs with Michael A. Taylor grand slam - A Hunt and Peck

It was glorious

On Wednesday the Nationals faced an elimination game against the Cubs. The Nationals clung to a one to nothing lead in the top of the eighth inning. With a runner on, Jon Lester was removed in favor of Carl Edwards, Jr., who proceeded to walk the next to batters to load the bases. After throwing one pitch for a ball to Michael A. Taylor, Maddon removed Edwards from the game in a rare mid-at-bat pitching change. Wade Davis entered the game and on the second pitch he threw, this happened:
