Baseball, particularly hitting, is a game of failure. Six times of ten a good player will fail to reach base, seven times of ten a good hitter will fail to earn a hit, and over nine times of ten a slugger will not hit the ball over the fence. It is why we appreciate the moments of success so much.

But sometimes... sometimes a failure can be so exceptional, we watch in awe of it as well. Baseball is a game of failure and sometimes these failures can be spectacular. Check out these swings in the compilation below (starring Carlos Gomez, naturally).
