Alex Reyes dominated MLB's top prospects in the 2016 Futures Game - A Hunt and Peck

Are we allowed to be excited yet?

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

Am I allowed to be excited yet?

TOO BAD BECAUSE I ALREADY AM.

Earlier today Joe published his article featuring a lovely analysis of Alex Reyes and his Futures Game performance. I shall provide no such thing - basically this post is the equivalent of ALL CAPS and dancing lady emojis.

But Reyes was just darn good, and here are some articles and some video to prove it.

...the 21-year-old right-hander pitched the first 1 2/3 innings for the World Team in the SiriusXM Futures Game on Sunday and he looked very, very good. He struck out four batters -- including Andrew Benintendi (No. 21), Clint Frazier (No. 23), Hunter Renfroe (No. 82) and Dansby Swanson (No. 6). Turner went down on a 101-mph fastball ... that was also moving diagonally across the zone.

"Reyes has an unbelievable arm," Bregman said. "It was cool to face him. You've got to want to compete with the best of the best and when the pressure's on."

Not bad.
