Adam Wainwright says to "remain calm please" - A Hunt and Peck

In a big league career that has spanned twelve seasons (really nine discounting 2005, 2011, and 2015), Adam Wainwright boasts a 3.01 ERA, a 3.13 FIP, 121 wins, nine shutouts, a 20.6% strikeout rate to a 6.2% walk rate, all adding up to 35.1 fWAR. Adam Wainwright has been a damn fine pitcher in his career and even though he has struggled a bit to start the 2016 season, this track record should speak for itself, right?

Well, not really.

The truth is, Waino is coming off a year lost to injury and at thirty-four years old, is technically aging out of his athletic prime. This has caused some to lose faith in the Cardinal Ace. Maybe the Waino we used to know is gone?

Well Wainwright has got one word for them: R E L A X.
