I feel like I have already written this very article, in fact, I am sure I have. But here is the thing, every time more news of this potential Carlos Martínez contract extension is released, I just get more and more exited. I mean, look at this guy:

According to Chris Cotillo of SBNation, both the Cardinals and Martínez are interested in a contract extension and have had initial discussions pertaining to the matter with "both sides expected to resume talks later in the offseason, at which point they will likely come closer to agreement".
