I did a segment with Brian Moline. Talking about Taveras and a few other Cardinals.
Sorry, Yadi (h/t Matt Sebek)
Each year in South Pass City, Wyoming, we play in a vintage base ball tournament. We wear vintage uniforms and use vintage equipment. The tournament is unique because it's played at somewhere around 7300 elevation, is in the middle of a gold rush ghost town, and left field is a sage brush hill. One of our members, Mat, collected photos and did a photo essay story on imgur about it. He also posted it to reddit. The story went fairly viral, capturing 220k views in the first 24 hours or so, and got some play on some local and national media outlets. I figgered VEB might enjoy the photos at the very least. Article saying Lucroy is now better than Yadi. Seems to leave out some key info to make his argument.
Talked about Taveras and Wong. Host Chris Hrabe always has good things to say about VEB. The Joe Sheehan interview is also very good.
It's self explanatory.
Pitchers: http://bit.ly/NVy4uZ Ratings have been changed this year. Not near as many 90s players as last year, across the board. You can read about that in the OS forums as you'd like.
I covered a local HS basketball team (my alma mater in southeast Michigan) this past winter. The season recently wrapped up with them being state champs for the first time in 66 years. I will soon be starting the baseball season as the writer for them. Baseball writing has long been a dream of mine, and this will be a lot of fun. Thanks for the support! - ZZ
Chris Hrabe, the host, really talked up VEB.
