On one of the last Friday's on the minor league regular season the Cardinals system went 4-2 W-L overall. Richard Castillo and Tyler Lyons combined for seven innings of shutout baseball in a Memphis win. Springfield ruptured defensive miscues late falling seven games under .500 and completely out of the Texas League playoff race. AZ fall league invitee delegate Sam Gaviglio in his second start back with Palm Beach pitched eight strong innings. Peoria lost on Friday now right at the .500 mark. State College continues to play well with another win that's put them twenty games above .500. Johnson City pounded the Royals short-season Appalachian League affiliate on Friday.

Memphis 4, Oklahoma City 0

  • Adron Chambers in his second game back after missing thirteen games with injury he went 2-4 with a walk, two runs scored, and his sixteenth stolen base on the season. Like to see that he's stealing some bases with his speed.

  • Jamie Romak picked up two RBI's with a single and double that scored and Chambers both times.
  • Travis Tartamella more known by the organization for his defense but tonight he produced an RBI double with the bat.
