(After some unexpectedly difficult travel, I'm back in St. Louis for the foreseeable future. Posting should resume as normal.)
- Memphis recorded just 3 hits on the night though they picked up 5 walks.
- Nick Greenwood pitched 5.2 innings. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 for 3 runs.
- Sam Freeman pitched 1.1 innings allowing 1 unearned run on a hit. He struck out 3.
- Michael Blazek walked 2 in a scoreless frame.
- Mike O'Neill was 4-for-5.
- James Ramsey had a bang up night going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, a walk and his 13th Springfield home run. I have to admit that Ramsey's bat is much better and much more advanced than I expected it to be at this point. If his defense in centerfield is average or better, he should be a nifty player.
- Ruben Gotay was 3-for-4 with a double.
- Springfield had 17 hits on the night including 11 singles.
- Richard Castillo pitched 6 strong innings allowing 6 hits. He was tagged for 2 runs on 1 walk while striking out 2.
- Justin Wright struck out 2 and allowed 2 hits in 2 innings.
- Danny Miranda struck out 1 in an inning of work.
- Matt Williams was 2-for-4 with a double.
- Nick Longmire was 1-for-4 with his 7th home run of the season.
- Kyle Hald allowed 6 runs (5 earned) in 6 innings. He allowed 9 hits and struck out 3 while walking 1.
- Robert Stock was lit up for 3 runs in 2 innings.
- Iden Nazario struck out 2 in an inning of work. He walked 1 and allowed a hit.
- Vaughn Bryan, CF, was 1-for-3 with a walk.
- Alexander Reyes struck out 3 in 3.2 innings. He allowed 4 runs (2 earned) on 2 walks and 5 hits.
