With Palm Beach's games postponed and cancelled yet again tonight the farm system goes 1-4 W-L overall excluding below Johnson City. Memphis lost big in Chris Carpenter's second rehab start. Seth Blair tossed a quality game but on the losing side. Jacob Wilson went deep for the 14th time in Peoria's loss. State College rallied late and won in the bottom of the 9th. Johnson City lost a tough one in extras.
Memphis 1, Oklahoma City 8
- Kolten Wong had a 2-3 night with an RBI double the only production coming from that lineup.
- Chad Huffman taking notes from Mike O'Neill by reaching base via base on balls all four times he came up to the plate.
- Chris Carpenter allowed 4 runs (all earned) on 9 hits, he walked 2 and struck out 2 in 3 1/3 innings. The warrior threw 74 pitches (twenty more than he did in his first rehab start) and only 49 for strikes.
- Sam Freeman continues his scoreless inning streak he struck out three in two scoreless innings.
Springfield 1, NW Arkansas 3
- Springfield's offense for six innings was shutout by Royals 2012 first rounder Kyle Zimmer making his Texas League debut. Quite an entrance in a new league especially notoriousness of the Texas League.
- Mike O'Neill, Xavier Scruggs, Adam Melker and Cody Stanley all singled there only hits while Vance Albitz had two hits.
- James Ramsey had the lone RBI it was an RBI groundout.
- Seth Blair had a quality outing despite on the losing side. He threw seven innings gave up three earned on four hits, he walked three and struck out eight.
For the second consecutive night Palm Beach's game were postponed and cancelled.
Peoria 4, West Michigan 5
- Jacob Wilson was 3-4 with a double and solo homer his 14th. The former Memphis Tigers star isn't hitting for high average only a .256 clip but is finding nice power production with a .779 OPS at Peoria this season.
- Breyvic Valera doubled and walked.
- Ildemaro Vargas collected three hits one for an RBI.
- Silfredo Garcia gave up five earned on eight hits in six innings.
State College 8, Connecticut 5
- Jimmy Bosco was 2-4 with a triple and walk.
- Bruce Caldwell had two singles and an RBI.
- David Washington had a monster offensive night he was 3-5 with two doubles, home run, and 5 RBI's.
- Mason Katz had two hits one for a double.
- Alex De Leon hit a 2-run homer his 2nd pro career homer.
- Chase Brookshire pitched 2 1/3 scoreless innings he gave up three hits, walked one and struck out one.
- Kevin Herget surrendered four runs (three earned) on nine hits and struck out two in 4 2/3 innings.
- Michael Aldrete pitched the last two innings gave up one earned on two hits.
Johnson City 10, Greeneville 11 (10 innings)
- Vaughn Bryan was 1-5 with an RBI single and walk. Swiped his 12th bag on the season.
- Brett Wiley hit a 2-run RBI single his only hit.
- Kenneth Peoples-Walls was 3-5 with a double, home run, and 4 RBI's. Peoples Walls now has 17 RBI's on the season.
- Richy Pedroza was 2-3 with an RBI single and walk.
- Dailyn Martinez gave up five runs (two earned) on three hits, walked five and struck out two in 4 2/3 innings of work.
