Daily Farm Report - 6/6/13

A daily recap of the minor league players in the Cardinals' farm system.

Memphis 1, Nashville 2

  • Adron Chambers was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk.
  • Kolten Wong was 1-for-3 with a walk.
  • Oscar Taveras remains out of the lineup.
  • Richard Castillo took the hard luck loss when his team couldn't muster any offense. He walked 4 and allowed 4 hits across 6 innings for 1 run. Castillo struck out 3.
  • Michael Blazek struck out 2 in a perfect 9th.

Springfield 3, Arkansas 4

  • Springfield led the game 3-1 going into the 9th inning. Deryk Hooker allowed 3 runs including a 2-run home run in the 9th. He struck out 2 but ultimately Springfield couldn't recover.
  • Ryan Sherriff had the start with 6 innings of 1 run baseball allowing just 4 hits and a walk. He struck out 3.
  • Xavier Scruggs was 3-for-4 with a double and a home run.
  • Cody Stanley was 2-for-4 with a home run.

Palm Beach 4, Tampa 0

Peoria 5, Clinton 8

  • Breyvic Valera was 2-for-4 with a double and a walk.
  • Charlie Tilson was 2-for-3 with a walk and his second home run of the season.
  • Tyrell Jenkins was hit hard across 2 innings failing to escape the start of the third. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 for 5 runs. He struck out 3.
  • Robert Stock allowed 1 run on 2 hits and struck out 3 in his 2 innings of work.
