Daily Farm Report - 6/5/13

A daily recap of the minor league players in the Cardinals' farm system.

The system went 2-and-1 on a night that Memphis had off. Mike O'Neill flashed some uncharacteristic power at the plate for Springfield (who lost). And by that, I mean he had two doubles. Cory Jones had a second strong outing for Peoria.

Memphis: No Scheduled Game

Arkansas 6, Springfield 2

  • Mike O'Neill was 3-for-5 with 2 doubles but had a rough day in the field, committing his first two errors of the season. But then again, he also threw a guy out at 3rd base.
  • Cody Stanley was 2-for-4 with a double.
  • James Ramsey singled twice.
  • Ruben Gotay singled and walked twice.
  • Jake Lemmerman reached base twice with a single and walk.
  • Xavier Scruggs struck out four times.
  • Nick Greenwood was reached for 9 hits and 4 runs (2 earned) in 5.1 innings that included 4 strikeouts.
  • Heath Wyatt struck out 1 in 2 perfect innings.
  • Lee Stoppelman gave up a solo HR but 1 of the 2 outs he recorded was a strikeout.
  • Kevin Thomas allowed 1 run on 2 hits in the 9th inning; he struck out 1 batter.
