Palm Beach 5, Fort Myers 4

  • Colin Walsh was 1-for-4 with a triple and a walk.
  • David Popkins continues to go on a tear with a 3-for-5 outing that included 2 doubles.
  • Danny Stienstra went 2-for-4.
  • Anthony Garcia was 3-for-4 with a double and his 10th home run of the season. Among position players, he's the biggest disappointment to me this year.
  • Ryan Sherriff was touched up for 4 runs (3 earned) in 5 innings. He struck out 4 and walked 1.
  • Travis Miller struck out 3 and walked 1 in 2 innings. He allowed 1 hit.

Peoria 1, Quad Cities 4

  • Peoria collected just 4 singles, 1 double and 1 walk. Meanwhile, they struck out 12 times.
  • Brad Watson allowed 8 hits and 4 runs over 4 innings. He walked 1 and struck out 1.
  • Dixon Llorens struck out 2 in an inning of work.
  • Thomas Lee pitched 2.1 perfect innings striking out 3.

Johnson City 9, Danville 0

  • Vaughn Bryan, CF, was 2-for-4 with a walk.
  • Brett Wiley, 2B, was 2-for-4 with a triple.
  • Ronnierd Garcia, 1B, was 2-for-4 with a double.
  • Will Anderson got the start with 4 innings of shutout baseball. He struck out 3 and allowed 2 hits.
  • Blake McKnight followed with 4 innings of his own shutout baseball. He allowed 3 hits struck out 4.
  • Fernando Baez struck out 2 and allowed 1 hit in the 9th.
