Stephen Piscotty had 0-4 in his Double-A debut.
Audry Perez was 2-4 with an 2-run RBI double. Perez who was once considered one of the top defensive catchers in the system not to long ago has always been strong defensively the bat has always been his question mark and now it being his second full-season in Springfield he's pretty much regressed over last year offensively. In 312 at bats last year at Springfield he OPS'd .627 which is below-average for his position and it's all the way down to .529 this season in 185 at bats that's very poor. That's all said if Perez doesn't changed something offensively he's going to start getting passed up by other catchers in the organization or if he hasn't already.
Seth Blair pitched 5 2/3 innings gave up 5 hits on 3 earned runs he walked 3 and struck out 2.
