Daily Farm Report - 6/12/13

A daily recap of the minor league players in the Cardinals' farm system.

The system went 3-and-1 on the night with Peoria being the only losing club. Memphis cranked out 7 doubles to back another positive Carlos Martinez start. In Springfield, James Ramsey hit his 3rd HR since being promoted while Mike O'Neill hit the 3rd HR of his minor league career. Stephen Piscotty showed some signs of life in Palm Beach. And Peoria suffered a bullpen implosion.

Memphis 9, New Orleans 3

  • Jacob Wilson was 3-for-4 with a HR (9).
  • Jordan Walton and Ildemaro Vargas each contributed 2 hits.
  • Jeremy Schaffer singled and walked.
  • Jimmy Parque was 2-for-4 and threw someone out at second base.
  • Patrick Wisdom and Nick Martini each singled.
  • Cory Jones had a strong outing in that he was only reached for 6 hits and 1 run in 7 innings, but he only struck out 2 batters. He had twice as many groundouts (10) as airouts (5).
  • Michael Aldrete somehow coughed up only 1 run on 3 hits and 2 walks in the 8th inning.
