Daily Farm Report - 5/2/13

A daily recap of the minor league players in the Cardinals' farm system.

Only Memphis dodged the rain on Thursday night to get in a full game. And Oscar Taveras made it quite the game ...

Memphis 8, Albuquerque 4

  • Adron Chambers was 2-for-4 with a double.
  • Kolten Wong was 2-for-5 with a double.
  • Oscar Taveras went 2-for-3 with a double, his 3rd home run of the season and a walk. He's now hitting .313/.360/.475 in Memphis and has clearly picked up the pace over the last 10 games.
  • Ryan Jackson was 4-for-5.
  • Rob Johnson and Justin Christian were both 2-for-4. Christian walked.
  • Maikel Cleto made the start and it was ... interesting. He held Albuquerque scoreless over 3 innings and even held them hitless but he walked 5 batters in the process. Cleto had 4 strikeouts.
  • Nick Greenwood pitched 3 innings of relief allowing 2 runs on 5 hits. He walked 2 and struck out 1.
  • Marc Rzepczynski walked 2 in 1.1 innings.
