A rough night for the system that goes 1-for-3 on the whole. Only Palm Beach is able to eek out a win in a pitcher's deul. Joe Cuda comes up shy of a dozen strikeouts but still comes away with the loss. Ryan Jackson keeps hitting.
- Jermaine Curtis was 2-for-5.Curtis also recorded 2 steals.
- Ryan Jackson was 2-for-5 with a double. It's pretty amazing that a player with a .355/.425/.474 slash line can't find a whiff of playing time in the majors. Most of this remains BABIP related -- though with an improved line drive rate it may not be lucky so much as unsustainable -- but Jackson has also quietly improved on his plate discipline posting his best regular season walk rate since Quad Cities in 2010.
- Richard Castillo walked 4 over 5 innings in his Memphis debut. He struck out 2 while allowing 1 run on 3 hits.
- Eric Fornataro would take the loss allowing 2 runs over 2 innings of work. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1.
- James Ramsey was 1-for-4.
- Xavier Scruggs was 1-for-3 with a home run and a walk.
- Springfield struck out a guady 13 times in 29 at bats against 3 walks.
- Ryan Sherriff was rocked in his AA debut. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits and 3 walks. Sherriff strukc out 3.
- Keith Butler allowed 1 run in the 9th on a solo home run while striking out the side.
- Jonathan Rodriguez was the only player to reach base twice for Palm Beach. His 3-for-4 outing also picked up the only RBI scoring Stephen Piscotty.
- Corey Baker got the start striking out 4 in 4 innings. He allowed 2 hits and walked 1.
- Danny Miranda picked up the win striking out 2 in 2 innings and walking 1.
- Illdemaro Vargas was 2-for-4.
- Patrick Wisdom was 1-for-3 with a walk.
- Carson Kelly was 1-for-4.
- Joe Cuda struck out 11 but was still touched up for 3 runs in 6 innings. He walked 2 and allowed 6 hits.
