I'm piggy-backing off the research done by Fangraphs and Noah Isaacs last year. I'm assuming the age averages will stay roughly the same from year to year. Let's take a look at each team and see where the players land with regards to age. There are four different classifications:
Elite Prospect for those who are below or equal to the bold diagonal lines on Noah's graph.
Below Average age for those who are below the average age for their level. (For AAA, which average age trends way older, I included the caveat on which prospects are also above or below the average major league rookie age of 24.5.)
Above Average Age for those who are above the average age for their level.
And lastly, the "Non Prospect - Old for League" players.
(Spoiler alert, one surprise among the Elite Prospect labels is Adam Ehrlich who was moved up from Extended Spring Training to Palm Beach for 2-3 nights before a few players were ready to come off the DL. Probably safe to discard him as an outlier.)
