Patrick Wisdom and Stephen Piscotty lead the offense. Boone Whiting makes some noise for Springfield.

Memphis 10, Oklahoma City 14 (11 innings)

  • Kolten Wong was 1-for-5 with a walk.
  • David Freese was 3-for-5 with a double.
  • Greg Garcia doubled in a 2-for-5 outing.
  • Brock Peterson doubled and homered for his 2 hits in 6 at bats.
  • Justin Christian was 3-for-6 with a double. Christian also had two outfield assists in the game.
  • Memphis was 15-for-48 in the game with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. That's a lot of balls in play.
  • A weak opening for Michael Wacha at AAA with 4 walks in 4 innings. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits.
  • Barrett Browning was lit up for 5 runs in the 11th after pitching a scoreless 10th. He walked 1 and allowed 7 hits.
  • Victor Marte, Sam Freeman and Maikel Cleto all allowed multiple runs in their appearances.
  • Former Cardinal Chuckie Fick closed out the game for OKC. He allowed a solo home run and another hit while finishing off the Redbirds.

Springfield 2, San Antonio 1

  • Thomas Pham was 1-for-3 with a walk and a triple.
  • Ruben Gotay doubled in a 2-for-4 effort.
  • Boone Whiting had an excellent game striking out 7 in 6 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 5 hits.
  • Deryk Hooker and Michael Blazek each struck out 1 in their inning of work. Hooker allowed 1 hit.
  • Keith Butler struck out 2 in a perfect 9th.

Palm Beach 8, Charlotte 1

  • James Ramsey was 1-for-4 with a double and a walk. He also stole a base.
  • Colin Walsh was 2-for-5 with a double.
  • Anthony Garcia hit a home run in a 1-for-4 day.
  • Jonathan Rodriguez was 2-for-3 with a double and a pair of walks.
  • Stephen Piscotty was 2-for-5 with a pair of home runs.
  • Danny Stienstra went 4-for-5.
  • Tyler Melling struck out 3 in 5 innings allowing 4 hits.
  • Lee Stoppelman allowed 3 hits on 1 ER in 2 innings. He walked 1 and struck out 1.

Peoria 7, Wisconsin 2

  • Breyvic Valera was 2-for-4.
  • Patrick Wisdom was 3-for-4 with a pair of home runs.
  • Charlie Tilson was 1-for-4 but was caught stealing.
  • Kyle Helisek struck out 4 in 5.1 innings. He walked 2 and allowed 6 hits for 1 ER.
  • Corey Baker pitched a perfect 9th striking out 1.
