Daily Farm Report - 4/26/13

A daily recap of the minor league players in the Cardinals' farm system.

System goes 1-2 W-L on the night. Springfield's game was postponed due to inclement weather. Stephen Piscotty showing more over-the-fence-power in the advanced pitcher friendly FSL. Lived armed lefty Hector Hernandez tosses 5 1/3 shutout innings

Memphis 1, Nashville 2

*Memphis's offense recorded 8 hits but only managed to score 1 run as they didn't have any situational hitting as there offense went 0-for-10 with RISP and left 12 baserunners on base.

*Adron Chambers was 1-5 with a single and the only run scored.

*Kolten Wong was 2-4 pushing his AVG to .313.

*Oscar Taveras is about to take off as he was 2-5 with a double.

*Greg Garcia was 2-4.

*Ryan Jackson was 1-2 with a walk and sac bunt.

*Nick Addition pitched 5 innings gave up 3 hits on 1 run 1 earned 1 walk 6 strikeouts on 67 pitches.

*Barrett Browning pitched a scoreless 6th inning, and Keith Butler pitched a scoreless 7th.

*Jorge Rondon was an out away from going extras before giving up a double than a walk-off single the very next batter.

Springfield game was postponed due to inclement weather. They will host a double-header on Sunday

Palm Beach 3, Jupiter 5

*Matt Williams was 1-4 with a walk.

*Colin Walsh was 1-4 with a walk as well.

*Stephen Piscotty was 3-5 with a solo home run his 3rd of the season. Got to like the power potential he's showing.

*Anthony Garcia was 2-4 with an RBI single.

*Jonathan Rodriguez was 2-4.

*The offensive orientated catcher Adam Ehrlich was 1-4 with an RBI single in his full-season debut.

*Travis Miller went 3 1/3 innings surrendered 6 hits on 5 runs 4 earned 1 walk 4 strikeouts.

*The PB bullpen contributed 4 2/3 scoreless innings from relievers Jonathan Cornelius, Brandon Creath, and Jose Almarante

Peoria 3, Dayton 0

*C.J McElroy once again playing CF was 2-5 with run scored at the plate also swiped his 1st of many bags to come.

*Jacob Wilson was 1-3 with a 2 run homer his 3rd.

*Jordan Walton went 2-3 with a double and a walk.

*Breyvic Valera was 1-3 with a walk.

*Carson Kelly was DHing was 1-4.

*Charlie Tilson recorded his 1st XBH of the campaign.

*Hector Hernandez tossed 5 1/3 scoreless innings allowed 3 hits on 1 walk struck out 8.

*Corey Baker lasted 1 2/3 scoreless gave up a hit and struck out a batter.

*Zachary Petrick pitched the final 2 innings gave up a hit and struck out 4. Petrick has now struck out 22 batters in 13.2 IP this season.
