Daily Farm Report - 4/25/13

A daily recap of the minor league players in the Cardinals' farm system.

Memphis 2, Nashville 5

  • Adron Chambers was 2-for-5 with a double and a stolen base.
  • Kolten Wong was 0-for-3 with a pair of walks. Wong's ISO continues to hover around .100, which is not terribly impressive.
  • Oscar Taveras was 1-for-4.
  • Greg Garcia was 0-for-2 with a pair of walks and a stolen base.
  • Tyler Lyons was on point for this game striking out 9 in 5.2 innings. He walked 1 and allowed 1 unearned run on 3 hits. Easily his best start of the season.
  • Maikel Cleto continues to come unraveled. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits while walking 2 in his 1.1 innings of work. His ERA remains in double digits for the season and his K/BB rate is upside down.

Springfield 2, NW Arkansas 6

  • Thomas Pham was 1-for-4 with his 4th home run of the season.
  • Chris Swauger was 1-for-3 with a walk.
  • Seth Blair walked 3 in 4.2 innings while striking out 5. He allowed 4 runs on 4 hits.
  • Kevin Thomas struck out 4 in 2.1 innings of relief and walked just 1.
  • Ramon Delgado struck out 1 in a perfect 9th.

Palm Beach 5, Jupiter 0

  • Nick Longmire was 3-for-5 with a double and a home run. If not for his utter inability to get on base, he'd be performing well right now.
  • Tim Cooney threw 6 strong innings allowing 1 walk and 4 hits. He struck out 7. Cooney also recorded 8 outs on the ground against just 2 in the air.
  • Lee Stoppelman followed up with 2 perfect innings.

Peoria 5, Dayton 11

  • CJ McElroy was 1-for-5 with 3 strikeouts in his A debut.
  • Alex Mejia was 1-for-3 with a walk.
  • Patrick Wisdom only had 1 hit in 4 at bats but it was his 5th home run. Despite hitting just .222, he has a .300 ISO and a respectable .843 OPS.
  • Carson Kelly was 2-for-4 with a double.
  • Charlie Tilson was 3-for-4.
  • Joe Cuda was lit up for 11 hits and 8 runs in 4 innings.
  • Dixon Llorens allowed the other 3 runs failing to complete an inning. He allowed 3 hits and walked 1 in 0.2 innings.
