A daily recap of the minor league players in the Cardinals' farm system.

Memphis 4, Iowa 1

  • Greg Garcia was 2-for-4 with a double.
  • Jermaine Curtis was 2-for-4 with a double.
  • Oscar Taveras was 1-for-3 with a walk and his 3rd stolen base.
  • Michael Wacha had his best start of the season with 1 run allowed in 7 innings. He struck out 6 and walked 2 allowing 3 hits. Wacha needed 105 pitches and ended the game with more groundouts than airouts.
  • Eric Fornataro allowed 1 hit and struck out 1 in the eighth.
  • Victor Marte closed out the game for his 4th save with a perfect ninth.

Springfield: Postponed

Palm Beach 1, Fort Myers 5

  • Matt Williams was 0-for-2 with a pair of walks.
  • Stephen Piscotty and Cody Stanley both went 2-for-4.
  • Sam Gaviglio got touched up by the leagues best team for 5 runs in 5 innings. He allowed 6 hits and walked 3 while striking out just 1. Gaviglio did maintain a characteristically good groundball rate with twice as many groundouts as airouts.
  • Chris Corrigan tossed 4 shutout innings in relief. He walked 2 and struck out 2 allowing 2 hits.
