Memphis and Springfield show off their bats while a top pitching prospect struggles for Peoria.

Memphis 10, Oklahoma City 3

Springfield 9, San Antonio 15

  • Mike O'Neill was 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles.
  • Jake Lemmerman was 2-for-4 with a walk.
  • Ruben Gotay was 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles.
  • Tommy Pham tripled and homered on his way to a 3-for-5 day.
  • Xavier Scruggs hit his 4th home run of the year in a 1-for-5 outing.
  • A rough day for catcher Travis Tartamella who went 0-for-4 and picked up 2 errors.
  • Seth Blair was lit up for 8 runs in 4 innings. He walked 3 and struck out 3 while allowing 8 hits. After his first two starts, he has 6 walks in 8 innings.
  • Ramon Delgado couldn't escape the 5th after relieving Seth Blair. He let both of Blair's bequeathed runners score and then allowed 6 of his own runs to score while recording just 2 outs.
  • Justin Wright gets credit for stemming the tide with 3.1 innings of work. He allowed 1 unearned run on 2 hits and struck out 3.
  • Deryk Hooker pitched a perfect 9th striking out 1.

Palm Beach 6, Jupiter 5

  • James Ramsey was 2-for-5 with a double. With a .417/.523/.722 line, it might be time to start a betting pool for his promotion to Springfield.
  • Colin Walsh was 3-for-5.
  • Anthony Garcia was 2-for-5 with a double.
  • Danny Stienstra was 2-for-4.
  • Jonathan Cornelius allowed 8 hits for 4 runs (2 earned) in 3.2 innings. He struck out 1.
  • Heath Wyatt pitched 2 innings allowing 1 run on 3 hits and a walk. He struck out 3.
  • Ronald Shaban picked up a 2 inning save allowing 1 hit and striking out 2.

Peoria 2, Quad Cities 3

  • Michael Swinson was 1-for-3 with a triple and a walk.
  • Breyvic Valera was 2-for-4.
  • Tyrell Jenkins struggled again allowing 3 runs on 6 hits in 5 innings. He walked 3 and struck out just 1.
  • Corey Baker struck out 2 in an inning of work.
