A daily recap of the minor league players in the Cardinals' farm system

Memphis and Peoria were both rained out after inclement weather rolled through within the last 24 hours.

Springfield 0, Corpus Christi 5

  • Mike O'Neill was 0-for-2 with a pair of walks.
  • Springfield was 3-for-24 with 5 walks on the night. O'Neill was the only player to reach base twice.
  • Scott McGregor struck out 8 in 5.1 innings. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 on his way to 4 runs (3 earned).
  • Ramon Delgado struck out 3 in 2.1 innings. He walked 1 and allowed 1 hit.
  • Keith Butler struck out 2 in an inning of work.

Palm Beach 7, St. Lucie 4

  • James Ramsey had a monster day. The centerfielder went 2-for-3 with a triple and a home run. He also walked twice. That's 9 total bases for those of you keeping score at home.
  • Matt Williams was 1-for-3 with a pair of walks.
  • Colin Walsh was 2-for-4 with a walk.
  • Danny Stienstra went 2-for-3 with a HR and a walk.
  • Sam Gaviglio had a mixed outing. He struck out 6 in 6 innings. Conversely, he walked 4 and had more flyouts than groundouts. Gaviglio was responsible for 2 runs and 3 hits.
  • Danny Miranda struck out 3 and allowed 1 hit in 1.2 innings pitched.
  • Ronald Shaban allowed 2 hits in a scoreless inning.
