This will be the last spring farm report for 2013. On Thursday, the Cardinals four full season minor league teams -- Memphis, Springfield, Palm Beach and Peoria -- will start their season. Each day we'll provide you with a recap of the action, the probable pitchers and some afternoon analysis about the minor league system and its players and personnel. Stay tuned ...
Memphis 1, New Orleans 0
- Shelby Miller struck out 7 in 4.2 innings of work. He allowed 1 walk and 4 hits. I'd say that's a pretty good final tune up before the MLB season.
- Eric Fornataro struck out 2 in a scoreless inning.
- Jermaine Curtis was 2-for-3 with the games only RBI. (That might be the first time I've mentioned RBIs all spring.)
Springfield 10, Jacksonville 6
- John Gast struck out 4 in 5 innings. He also suffered a hit parade for 2 runs on 8 hits.
- Kevin Seigrist was lit up for 4 ER on 3 hits and a walk in just 0.2 innings pitched. He struck out 1.
- Michael Blazek struck out the side in his inning.
- Chris Swauger doubled twice and walked in a 3-for-4 outing.
- Tommy Pham was 2-for-5 with a pair of triples. This is quintessential Pham. Taunt us all spring training with superlative numbers and performances. Break our hearts in the regular season.

- Starlin Rodriguez was 2-for-5 with a double.
- Adam Melker doubled and walked in a 2-for-4 outing.
