Happy Tuesday!
A Cardinals win or a Reds loss today would officially punch the Cardinals’ ticket to the National League Wild Card Game.
As things stand now, assuming the Cardinals clinch, the Cardinals will take on the Dodgers in the game. The Dodgers are still fighting for the NL West crown; with six days left in the regular season, the Giants are holding a two-game lead in the division race.
On Monday, MLB announced the Players of the Week for both leagues. In the AL, Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton took home the honors. In the NL, Harrison Bader and his .517 average, eight extra-base hits, and 10 runs scored got the nod. Tyler O’Neill was the POTW last week — while Paul Goldschmidt has been a candidate for the honor every week so far this month.
The way this streak has gone, if a Cardinal win tomorrow doesn’t include a triple play, hidden ball trick and Bigfoot running on the field playing an accordion, I might be a little disappointed. #STLCards

(I agree, Cat. ^)
After a day off yesterday, the Cardinals are back in action tonight, kicking off their final homestand of the regular season. The Brewers are in town for a three-game series that will start around 6:45 PM Central. Adam Wainwright will take the mound, opposite of Milwaukee’s Brandon Woodruff.
