MLB: St. Louis Cardinals at Milwaukee Brewers Michael McLoone-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning! Happy Tuesday.

The Cardinals extended their winning streak to nine games last night, beating the Brewers, 5-2, and maintaining their three-game lead in the NL Wild Card race. Jon Lester picked up his 200th career win, and Nolan Arenado surpassed the 100-RBI mark — the first Cardinal to do that since Matt Holliday in 2012.

In the Wild Card standings at the start of play on Tuesday, the Cardinals hold a three-game lead over the Reds, a four-game lead over the Padres, and they are 4 12 games up on the Phillies.

Over in the American League, the Red Sox currently hold the top Wild Card spot, with the Blue Jays in the second spot by 1 12 games. The Yankees are a half-game back, with the Athletics two games behind, and the Mariners three games back.

The 80-69 Cardinals, a season best 11-games over .500, have another meeting with the Brewers this evening. Jake Woodford will go against Brandon Woodruff (good luck, broadcasters), with the first pitch from American Family Field set for 6:40 PM Central.
