Good morning, everyone. Happy Friday!
The Cardinals are hosting a huge, three-game series with the Padres this weekend — a series that will be incredibly meaningful in the National League Wild Card race. At the start of play on Friday, the Cardinals are 76-69 and are in possession of the second Wild Card spot. The Padres are just a half-game behind the Cardinals, with the Reds one game back, and the Phillies are lingering 2 1⁄2 games out. The Dodgers will be at GABP this weekend to face the Reds, while the Phillies take on the Mets.

In his last 15 games, Tyler O’Neill is slashing .333/.387/.667 with five homers. Paul Goldschmidt is batting .348 (dating back to mid-August), and Nolan Arenado has six homers so far this month.
It’ll be Miles Mikolas on the bump for the Cardinals tonight, opposite of Vince Velasquez and the Padres. First pitch from Busch is set for 7:15 PM Central. The Reds and Dodgers will start about an hour prior.
Let the intensive scoreboard watching begin.
Have a great weekend!
