The Cardinals got back in the win column yesterday with a 4-1 victory over the Marlins. Cardinals starter Daniel Ponce de Leon went five innings, and Tommy Edman hit his first home run of the year. Yadier Molina drove in two on a double, and Nolan Arenado collected two more hits.
Cards Strike Early in Monday Win
The Cardinals will take on the Marlins again this evening, same time & place as yesterday. John Gant will go for St. Louis, opposite of former Cardinal Sandy Alcantara. First pitch from Miami is set for 5:40 PM Central Time.
