*starts dancing* ^
The one-year contract is worth $9 million, according to Jon Heyman. The 38-year-old Molina debuted for the Cardinals in 2004 and has been the starting catcher since 2005. Molina returns to a Cardinals team that resigned Adam Wainwright about two weeks ago, parted ways with Dexter Fowler, and pulled off a blockbuster trade for Nolan Arenado earlier this month.

Molina announced the signing on his Instagram account with a video on Monday evening, although an official team announcement is not expected until tomorrow.
Even after the signings of Molina and Wainwright and the acquisition of Arenado, the Cardinals might not be done spending this offseason. St. Louis has been linked to free-agent starter Jake Odorizzi.. might he be the next new Cardinal?
