The Cardinals were eleminated from the postseason in the Wild Card Play-In game. While most of us would prefer they still be playing now, there is at least one small bright side: Adam Wainwright gets to be in the broadcast booth. According the reception, Waino was beuno behind the mic. The Internet acclaimed his broadcasting efforts as he ate a hotdog on air. It was a great night for Adam Wainwright. If there was any doubt where his next career move should be after his playing days are over, he dispelled them on Tuesday evening.
They grow up so fast.
Really cool to hear Adam Wainwright in the booth for this Stros-Sox game. Also very impressed by his work ethic and stamina to just jump into a new job right after pitching more than 210 major-league innings this year.— Lindsey Adler (@lindseyadler) October 11, 2021
Loved the perspective of A.J. Pierzynski and Adam Wainwright on the Abreu HBP yesterday. Excellent work, all the way through Wainwright's hilarious imitation of the body language of a baseball argument. https://t.co/klInK5J80u Great work.— Buster Olney (@Buster_ESPN) October 13, 2021
MLB Network asked Adam Wainwright to tell them something no one knows about Yadier Molina.— UncleJedd (@UncleJedd3) October 6, 2021
He said: “Yadi loves Zac Brown Band.”

More Adam Wainwright on MLB playoff broadcasts. He's been great, which should surprise no one.— Britt Ghiroli (@Britt_Ghiroli) October 12, 2021
Cruising Twitter, at it appears @UncleCharlie50 did the impossible. He was universally liked as a broadcaster. That's like perfect-game rare. Bravo!— Ben Frederickson (@Ben_Fred) October 13, 2021

what else is going on in baseball...
what the cardinals are up to...
On this date in 2006, Game 2 of the NLCS at Shea Stadium, So Taguchi led off the 9th inning with a home run vs. Mets closer Billy Wagner, snapping a 6-6 tie and sparking the Cardinals to a win. After falling behind in the count 0-2, Taguchi followed off 4 pitches, then homered. pic.twitter.com/nYoJv1g1yp— Mark Tomasik (@retrosimba) October 13, 2021
