After rumors broke Thursday evening and speculation swirled throughout the following day, it finally happened Friday night. The Cardinals have acquired Nolan Arenado from the Rockies, according to reports from Ken Rosenthal.
The deal is unlikely to be official tonight, as Arenado needs to formally waive his no-trade clause.

The package going back to Colorado is said to include LHP Austin Gomber, 1B Luken Baker, and OF Jhon Torres. Rosenthal added the package might include RHP Jake Woodford or RHP Angel Rondon, although this is uncertain.
