The series between the Cardinals and Cubs at Busch Stadium this weekend has been postponed due to three more positive COVID-19 tests for St. Louis.

The latest positive tests belong to Ryan Helsley, Austin Dean and a staff member, bringing the team’s total to 16 cases; in total, nine players and seven staff members infected.

The Cardinals won’t play a game until Monday, at the earliest. Nevertheless, Monday doesn't look too promising.

Mark Saxon first broke the news of Friday’s postponed game and positive test(s).

Cubs reporter Jesse Rogers confirmed it was a positive test on the Cardinals.

The Cardinals have not played since Wednesday, July 29th, and (up until today) have not reported any new positive tests in three days.
