I do not know if this has been posted before. This YouTube is two short films, one of Harry Caray narrating a discussion of how spring training works. It is about 28 minutes long.
A good friend of mine’s father, Joe Frazier, is in there several times. I asked my friend and he was unaware of the film and was glad to see it. You can never watch enough video of Stan Musial hitting, especially going the other way. There is some nice footage of Red Schoendienst batting left handed.
The sound was obviously added later.
Of course, 1954 was not a great year.
I did not watch all of the second film, which is about the Cardinals tradition and seemed a little hokey. That video is from 1957.
