Righty Carlos Martinez will make his fourth spring appearance (third start) on Wednesday afternoon, when the Cardinals visit Port St. Lucie to take on the Mets. Jacob deGrom will make his second tune-up of the Grapefruit League season. Ryan Helsley, Brett Cecil, John Brebbia, and Kodi Whitley are scheduled to pitch for the Cardinals on Wednesday.
Kolten Wong remains out of the lineup after getting hit by a pitch on Sunday, but as Anne Rogers of MLB.com reported, he could return to action on Thursday. Meanwhile, Paul Goldschmidt has elbow soreness again, and he is being evaluated. It could be the weekend before we see Goldy back in game action.
